Monterey and Magnolia Fresh Chicken Bag Top Honors in Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Awards
 

Last April 30, 2010 at the New World Hotel, Makati, executives from the Food and Beverage, Banking, Telecommunications, Television Network, and Healthcare industries, to name a few, attended the Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brand 2010 Awarding Ceremonies.

The Readers Digest Trusted Brands Survey (previously known as SuperBrands) is now on its 12th year of implementation. The said survey identifies which brands appeal most to a representative cross-section of Asian consumers, focusing on trust as the driving factor behind brand integrity.

The selection of the winning brands is done thru a combined qualitative and quantitative consumer survey measuring overall market acceptance in a given product or service category. The brands are measured on six core qualities: trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of consumer needs, innovativeness, and social responsibility.

For the first time since the survey has been conducted in the Philippines, Fresh Meats was included as one of the categories. Accordingly, our fresh meats brands –Magnolia Fresh Chicken and Monterey Meats, have both bagged top honors in the Trusted Brands Survey with the Gold and Platinum Awards, respectively. The Gold Award means that the brand has clearly performed above other brands in the category in the combined qualitative and quantitative scores. The Platinum Award on the other hand, is the highest honor which a brand can get, which means that the winning brand’s score translates to three times the score of the nearest brand.

Dr. Leo Obviar, General Manager for the Poultry and Meats Business, together with Mr. Joal Arellano, Marketing Manager were both present to accept the award.

Monterey Meats and Magnolia Fresh Chicken's Trusted Brands status is a genuine recognition of consumers' approval. This further affirms not only our leadership status, but more importantly, our consumers’ continuing trust to our brands - an honor which we are more than proud to have.
