Score an “X” in the meat portion of the ribs, cutting almost to the bone. Set aside.
Combine marinade ingredients and mix until sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour over ribs, turning occasionally to coat meat evenly. Marinate for at least two hours before cooking.
Grill ribs over hot coals or broil until done as desired, basting with marinade, once or twice on each side while cooking.
